App2Webby Hive Creative

For iOS apps on Apple's 30% tier, US App Store

Keep up to 27% more of every iPhone sale, measured.

App2Web by Hive Creative is a done-for-you service. We add your own Stripe checkout, handle App Store approval, and measure how much more you actually keep. Built for apps paying Apple 30%.

“Up to 27%” = Apple's 30% minus about 3% Stripe fees, while no link-out fee applies. Apps on Apple's 15% tier save less and may not benefit.

How it works

  1. 01

    Review

We look at your app, your Apple fee tier, your pricing, and your numbers, and tell you honestly if it's worth it.

  2. 02

    Build

We add a “Buy on the web” option that opens your own Stripe checkout and unlocks the purchase back in your app.

  3. 03

    Approve

We submit the update to Apple and handle App Review. Apple's in-app purchase can stay as an option.

  4. 04

    Measure

We compare what you keep per paywall viewer on the web checkout with Apple's in-app purchase, and show you the numbers.

What could you save?

Enter your numbers. We show the result with no fee (today) and with the fees Apple might be allowed later.

What Apple takes from you today

15% if you're in the Small Business Program or for most subscriptions after year one.

Apple fees today: $36,000/year. Yearly savings with a web checkout, if Apple is allowed a link-out fee of:

0% fee (today)
$32,400
per year
5% fee
$26,400
per year
10% fee
$20,400
per year
15% fee
$14,400
per year

Estimate only. Math: monthly revenue × 12 × (Apple rate − link-out fee − about 3% Stripe fees). Today Apple charges no fee on US link-out sales. Apple has proposed 5–15%, and no fee has been approved. This does not count changes in conversion, refunds, taxes, or our fees, and it is not a promise of results.

Questions

Does Apple charge a fee on web sales?+
Not today, on the US storefront. In December 2025 the Ninth Circuit said the district court may let Apple charge a fee tied to its real costs, but Apple can't charge one until the court approves it. In August 2026 the district court declined to pause the case and is moving ahead with setting that fee. Apple has proposed 5–15%. That's why the calculator shows 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%. At 30% today, you still keep more at every one of those. If a fee is approved, the optional monthly plan covers updating your setup.
Is this allowed?+
Yes, on the US App Store. Apple's App Review Guidelines (3.1.1(a) and 3.1.3) allow buttons and links to outside purchases in US apps. Apple has asked the Supreme Court to review part of the case (docket 25-1311), and no decision has been made yet. If the rules change, we update your app. Every setup goes through Apple's App Review before it goes live.
Will fewer people buy?+
Some may. A web checkout is one extra step compared with Apple's payment sheet. We keep Apple's in-app purchase as an option, make the web checkout fast (Apple Pay works in Stripe), and test pricing to find what works for your app.
My app is in Apple's Small Business Program (15%). Is this for me?+
Maybe not. At 15%, the saving is smaller, and the extra checkout step can cost more sales than the lower fee saves. Some 15%-tier apps end up keeping less. We'll run your numbers in the review and tell you if it isn't worth it.
What about the EU and other countries?+
Not for now. The EU runs under different Apple terms with their own fees. App2Web covers the US storefront only. Everywhere else, your app keeps working exactly as it does today.
Who holds the money?+
You do. Payments go into your own Stripe account. We never hold or touch your revenue, and you own the customer relationship, including their email.
What if it doesn't get approved?+
If your setup isn't live and approved by Apple, we refund the setup fee.
